On Saturday, October 7th Genting Casino Bolton hosted a hugely successful charity evening, which raised £2,141.16 for The Destitute Animal Shelter in Bolton.
The night began with music and a quiz, with cash prizes of up to £175 up for grabs, followed by a free buffet. In addition, the casino held an auction which saw guests bidding for items including two tickets to watch Queen and Adam Lambert perform at the Genting Arena, together with a stay at Genting Hotel at Resorts World Birmingham.

“I am extremely proud of how much we raised for the shelter. Over the years many members of staff have adopted cats and dogs from the shelter so it’s a charity that is extremely close to our hearts”
The Destitute Animal Shelter Bolton, which has been supported by Genting Casino Bolton for almost a year, is a rescue charity dedicated to caring for lost, abandoned and stray cats and dogs. The shelter relies solely on donations from the general public, local businesses and organisations such as Genting.
Genting Casino Bolton supports the charity regularly by collecting bedding and food for the shelter and has also hosted other events throughout the year.
Karen Rickards, shelter manager at The Destitute Animal Shelter Bolton, said: “The shelter wants to thank everyone who donated their time and gifts to the event, as well as all those that attended and made it such a fantastic evening.”
